I have always loved this quote from Lee Damsky...just so awesome! I created this by using paper as my base then adding some acrylic (background) and dye ink to add details. 

Over The Rainbow

Made this new art assemblige this week for White Night in the Heights here in Houston. I did a lot of measuring and cutting wood for this one. 

Rooster

I did this rooster for a rug company so it also comes with a black border. I did this by using an old recipe book, acrylic, cardstock paper and dye ink. 

I love, love going thrifting with my girlfriends and when I ran across an old vintage recipe book for .25 I snatched it up. It was falling apart so I don't mind cutting it up for this project. 

I need to start sharing my thrift finds here on my blog...just because it's fun. 

Birds, Birds, Birds

Here are some birds I did from book paper, acrylic and paper. They are a lot of fun and I always enjoy doing them...time to clean off the desk and get busy on something new.

I will have these for sale at White Linen Night in the Heights in August. It's been awhile since Ive attended so I am happy to see all the artists again.

This is what Ive been working on the past two weeks. Yep...it's all paper. 

My pictures are awful because the lighting in my studio is weird. This piece is very big 48x48 and super heavy because it's wood. I am having the molding put around it on Tuesday then it's off to the gallery.

I started working on the flowers. For some reason I couldn't decide where I wanted them to go.

Here I started adding the leaves.

I decided I wanted my background to be blue. I'm still working on the background so more to come.

I am done with the last three little 4x5's for the First Saturday Artist Market this weekend. These canvas are so small and fun to mess around with. I wish I could find this size in wood but no luck yet. If anyone knows of a place give me a heads up.

Little Nests

Spring is here at my house for sure! I know this because the doves have taken over. I have nests everywhere and my cat is going nuts looking at them through the window. She makes that strange sound and flicks her tail (and has jumped at the window). Cuteness!

Postcard With LOVE

So here is the project I have been working on so hard. It is my husband's Valentines Day gift. It is VERY large as you can see so it took about three weeks for me to complete. I used paper, dye ink and paint. Lots and lots of cutting letters...yikes!

Maddie thinks it's groovy...she is such a cutie!
