Studio Shot Tuesday

It's studio shot Tuesday time once again. I'm not sure what this was actually used for but as you can see I keep paint, sandpaper, adhesive, varnish, acrylic blocks, and glitter in it. It's kinda big which was what attracted me to it in the first place. On the inside it has an old paper ad pasted to the wood that says Wenoka Apples. I don't think this was used for apples but who knows.

I know I should have a better way of storing my paints but for right now they are all in this iron garden planter thingamabob. I picked it up at one of those junk stores I frequent...maybe someday I will actually put a plant in it.

Here is one of the containers I use to keep some of my art papers. It's an antique Cambridge Grain scoop that is made out of barn wood (I think??) and has these great mortised joints with wood pins that are just way cool. I ran across it at an old store and my parents surprised me with it. Thanks guys!!

Here are two more pics of my studio for the Flickr group Studio Shot Tuesday. I found this great candle mold at an antique store and just fell in love because of the wire feet. I have seen them before but this was the first time I found one with feet so I snatched it up. I keep some of my most used brushes in it on my desk. It just makes me happy.

Flickr Studio Shot Tuesday

I joined a group on Flickr called Studio Shot Tuesdays. I love it because I can "show off" some of my goodies in my studio and look at others. So here is my first contribution to the group.

I have a few of my pens, Xacto blades, scissors organized next to my computer (for easy access). I LOVE to find old objects or junk and reuse it in my studio. I found this old Kraft American Cheese box at an antique store in Concord MA while visiting my friend Patty. I filled it up with white rice and it works perfectly for me. If I remember correctly the little box was only six dollars...gotta love that!
