Print Give A Way!

Guess who slipped a disc in her back? Yes, me. How? I have no clue! Maybe to many Karate Kid Crane Kicks with my boys (yes, I seriously was doing them)

Well, it's been hurting for awhile now but the past three weeks have been killer. I've been taking it easy and catching up on my pile of unread books.

So it's time for a give a way...double fist pump!!
A Good Book Can Change A Person's Life

Have you ever read a book that completely changed your life? If so let me know... leave a comment for a chance to win this cool beans print. It's mounted on a block so need for a frame!

I will post the winner on Wednesday at 4:00 pm CST

Total fact randomness... J.J. Audubon's The Birds of America, published in 1840, is the most valuable book in the world. It sold for $8,802,500 in March 2000—the highest price ever paid for a book.

Oh my! I'm in love with this print already! A handful of books have changed my life in 24 years, however the first book that changed my life was Death Be Not Proud. I had never read anything like it before and I cried my way through the end of it. It was the first book that really penetrated the everyday and left me feeling as though I knew nothing.

I hope you feel better soon!

so sad to hear that your back is out. it is bad enough to be in pain but when it keeps you away from the art room then that is just unacceptable. hope you heal quickly.

i can't think of a book that changed my life but i can think of several that haunted me for weeks after i finished. the road by cormac mccarthey is one. most people i know who read it didn't like it, but like it or not it certainly makes you think. i'm reading life is a verb by patti digh right now and it has the potential to change my life. it has certainly awkakened the knowledge that i have not truly been living for some time now.

your collage is wonderful as always. i have a perfect spot for it in my new little home. hee hee

Ouch! Sorry to hear about your back, this print this beautiful! I'm a reader and always have three or four books on the go, I would have to say the most recent book to have changed my perspective on life would have to be little bee.

Oh my, hope your back heals quickly. There is nothing quite like back pain, hope you are being well taken care of!

Hmmm, I have read so many books, it's hard to just pin point one. I think for a fun writing style I immensely enjoyed Eat Pray Love and the Twilight series. I love being caught up in a book until 3 in the morning. For a really moving read, I loved Borrowed Time by Paul Monette.

Pick me. Pick me! : )

Oh man, I didn't know you hurt your back. That is one of the worst pains. My mom had the same issue and it totally immobilized her. It was so painful too. I hope you are feeling better. If you do a reverse karate kick, will the disk go back where it needs to - just kidding, don't try it!

You do such beautiful work. This one is so fun, especially for book lovers. My dream vacation is curling up with a book. There are so many books that have influenced me. I love all of David McCullough's bibliographies...they give me so much energy!
