Got my little orange bird piece done today. It looks kinda small on the wall but it really isn't. It's a strange size because it was an old piece of wood from my scrap pile I used...this sucker measures 30" 1/2 X 7" 1/2 X 2" (told ya it was an odd size) and it's got some weight to it also.
I've been making my frames with very deep edges lately. I like the idea of the piece being more than just what's on the front. Aah, the feeling of doneness...is that even a word?

That is a beautiful piece. I like the depth of it. It is hard to see the size in the pics but then when I imagine the dimensions..it is large. I love your work!

I don't put them in my Etsy shop because they are so large...shipping would cost a lot. Maybe I should go WAY smaller.

Is this piece for sale? I love it. I jsut finished my baby's room and painted a tree with many birds. I think this would look great on the opposite wall.
