Merry Chirstmas!!

Have a wonderful Christmas!

Hummingbird

So many feathers to cut!

I started working on the flowers. For some reason I couldn't decide where I wanted them to go.

Here I started adding the leaves.

I decided I wanted my background to be blue. I'm still working on the background so more to come.

Paper Source Houston...Sigh

What can I say...it's the little things that make me happy. Walking around in this store is just one of those things!!

Look at all the goodies! However, it's the paper that gets me every time.

Christmas Shopping at Anthropologie

I love shopping at Anthropologie but being there during Christmas is even better.

I can't explain what it is about this store I love so much. I think it's the unique selection of accessories, clothes, books, bedding etc. However, what makes me swoon is the displays. I am a sucker for good displays and they always deliver.

Up With Paper Snow Globe Cards

I was at the art supply store the other day and ran across these wonderful snow globe cards. The pictures don't do them justice you have to see them in person.

First Saturday Artist Market

The artist market in the Heights was great. So many great vendors it was hard not to take several walks and buy goodies. I took a picture of my booth so I could show off my (cheap and quick) banner.

I bought an easel at IKEA really cheap, around 12.99. I used the bottom tray for all my candy canes which was a big hit among the kiddos.

I decided to add shelves to my panel walls and they worked out really great. Plus I made extra magnets and cards and used baskets from IKEA to hold the extra ones that didn't fit in the spinner rack. I but the extra magnets on the panel with some metal strips I got from Home Depot. They already had holes in them so I just hung them with two zip ties on the ends. Worked great and I can move them around if I need to. Yay for when things work out!

Our Golden Beginning

Meet Cody, our first dog...he is a rescue dog from a place called Golden Beginnings. It is a wonderful organization that rescues Golden Retrievers and fosters them until they can place them in a forever home.

We are smitten with him and he is fitting into our home wonderfully. However, we are still working on getting him not to chase the cats and other unwanted behaviors.

He is around 9-11 months old and is still a puppy so we are doing lots of training. We are getting help from Chris and Andrea from Golden Beginnings with lots of questions and advice. Cody is going to be a wonderful dog and we feel like we are blessed to have him in our family.

Welcome Cody!
