Persimmon & Pink

Nathalie Lété

Well Endowed Mermaid!

This is a special request for a client Michelle who asked for a chubby mermaid. She certainly has the curves going on wouldn't you say? The finished piece has a special saying..."sometimes you just have to be a mermaid" it's a special saying between her and her sister.

Special sayings are the best! My dear friend Eleni and I have so many we can't keep track of them!

I remembered to take a few pictures of me working just for fun.

Eloise Corr Danch

I love the work of Eloise Corr Danch, I could fill my house with her paper creations.
Check out this goodness...

I am totally happy having my feet in the Anthropologie store let alone have some of my work on display. I would be totally busting if I were her!

Never Give Up!

Here is the picture I took...yep that's my hand holding the heart.
I got a boo boo on my thumb (darn fire ant!)

now here is the piece all done...YAY!

I like to remind myself of this quote often. Sometimes I tell my husband I should just give in and get a full time job with a regular paycheck but I always tend to chicken out. I love being an artist and can't imagine doing anything else. Do you ever get discouraged? What are some ways you stay focused and positive?

Pulling Weeds

I had some gargantuan weeds growing in my garden...we're talking taller than the bird bath! I started to pull and pull but they were super hard to get out. When I finally got one out, the roots were very few but long. However, a few of my smaller weeds came out with huge clumps of dirt attached. Shortly after this adventure to my lower back, my son came outside and started asking me questions about this and that.

Got me thinking...
