Berlin Wall and Royal De Luxe

This is an amazing performance by France's Royal de Luxe street theatre company titled "The Berlin Reunion". Part of the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Reunion show featured two massive marionettes, the Big Giant, a deep-sea diver, and his niece, the Little Giantess. The storyline of the performance has the two separated by a wall, thrown up by "land and sea monsters". The Big Giant has just returned from a long and difficult - but successful - expedition to destroy the wall, and now the two are walking the streets of Berlin, seeking each other after many years apart.

I took this picture of the five sections of the Berlin Wall in New York City only a few weeks ago. This section can be found on 53rd Street between 5th and Madison Avenue.

More Anthropologie Goodies

Here are some more images from the flagship Anthropologie store in New York City. First, I want to share these great sculptures made from paper, spoons, forks, chopsticks, knives and condiments. Take a look...

This is my favorite of all the sculptures...I LOVE THIS PEACOCK! It's made with Chinese takeout menus on the body and, if you notice, spoons and chopsticks. Chopsticks! How wonderful is that!?! I can't figure out who the artist is that made these so if you know please let me know.

The zebra is made with packets of pepper. I wish everyone could see these in person because they are wonderful.

Isn't this felt fireplace the best? I love the colors. The clocks below are above the fireplace and they are knitted and SO cute!

It's hard to tell from this picture but these are yardsticks.

Anthropologie New York City

I was in New York City this past week and is it weird to say that one of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Anthropologie flagship store at Rockefeller Center? Well, it was. Here are some pictures I took...get ready to swoon at the window displays!

This was my favorite one of them all

This car was covered in fabric and the headlights lit up. Also, the license plate had cut out embellished felt letters and numbers on top of the original ones...fantastic details!

here's some more goodness from inside....
