I'm just loving the cuteness of these page markers I found at a second hand store. I can't tell you much about them except the container says Tango Twirl (Abode). I have already starting using them in all my journals and books...YAY for cuteness!!

Cards, Cards, Cards

I just added some new cards to my ever growing collection. I just LOVE cards and notes from friends and family! I guess it stems from my love of getting snail mail and things that are hand written. There is not much to my little collection, it's basically a large book ring... just punch a whole in the corner and place it on. I have added ribbons and such to the ring so it makes it pretty. I LIKE PRETTY.

Some of my cards date back 15 years ago! I keep them on the door in my studio so I can keep an eye on them. This one is from friends, only I had to make a separate one for all the cards and notes my hubby gives me.

North Carloina...LOVE

Duke Chapel

Amazing things are in North Carolina like Duke Chapel, NOFO at the Pig, Raleigh Little Theatre, art galleries and a gal named Jennifer. I went to visit one of my best girlfriends in NC this past week and it was awesome! We had a wonderful time seeing a play called The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, a few movies, an amazing service at Duke Chapel, visiting wonderful art galleries, shopping, eating sushi and sight seeing.....whoo weeeee! I enjoyed so much seeing my friend who is an amazing person that I love very, very much!



NOFO at the Pig is a great cafe that opened in December 2001 and is located in the former Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store. It is in the Five Points neighborhood of Raleigh (which has wonderful antique stores and shopping).

Postcard With LOVE

So here is the project I have been working on so hard. It is my husband's Valentines Day gift. It is VERY large as you can see so it took about three weeks for me to complete. I used paper, dye ink and paint. Lots and lots of cutting letters...yikes!

Studio Shot Tuesday

Here is one of the containers I use to keep some of my art papers. It's an antique Cambridge Grain scoop that is made out of barn wood (I think??) and has these great mortised joints with wood pins that are just way cool. I ran across it at an old store and my parents surprised me with it. Thanks guys!!

So MUCH Cutting!

Look at me...I've been working on a project for my husband's Valentine's Day gift. I can't share it with you just yet because he peeks at my blog. I wanted to give him something very special because this is the first time in 17 years we won't be together this holiday (awe, don't be sad, it's all good). I have been cutting and cutting now for weeks little bit by little bit. I can't wait to give it to him!

Here are two more pics of my studio for the Flickr group Studio Shot Tuesday. I found this great candle mold at an antique store and just fell in love because of the wire feet. I have seen them before but this was the first time I found one with feet so I snatched it up. I keep some of my most used brushes in it on my desk. It just makes me happy.
