I have had my fingers busy sewing fun little creations. I like to take a break from my regular paper, paint and ink and get my brain running in a new direction from time to time. I added these to my pincushion collection and they look just splendid.
Here is my little strawberry and ladies hat. I really like the way the strawberry turned out with all the little beads on it. I plan on going to the International Quilt Festival this weekend and hopefully I will be able to find some more of these great felt colors.

New Buttons SCORE!
I am about to get crafty soon. I scored these buttons while thrifting and antiquing with a friend. I have a few projects that involve felt, remnant fabrics and embroidery floss.
Am I a bit off-balance when buttons make my day? Oh, nuts I don't care (I'm sure there is a club I can join for this sort of thing).

paper, dye ink, adhesiveThis little tv makes me think of times my boys have made little beds in front of the TV to watch a special movie or Cartoon Network show. They get so excited to get blankets, pillows, stuffed friends to enjoy the show with them. Last time this happened was for the premier of Star Wars Clone Wars. Wow, those were some excited children! The premier was on the calendar for a month and the 10 second countdown was yelled outloud. Lots of popcorn and good times were had!!

Views Of Wickford

Went on a visit to Wickford Rhode Island again this year and completely fell in love with the shop Different Drummer. OH MY this is my all time favorite little place. I bought some great jewelry by Amy Peters Studio and some other little treasures. The amount of goodness in this shop was overwhelming me! Cards, pottery, artwork, jewelry you name it this place had it! I can't wait to go back someday.

Are you ready for more goodness?
Patty and I got to enjoy a beautiful lunch at Beach Rose Cafe. What a wonderful afternoon of eating a great food, spending time together and enjoying perfect weather. If you are ever in Wickford this is a great place to go.
This is the view from across the street. We saw a lot of ducks and swans having a merry ole time in the water (super cute).

Playing Pooh Sticks In Concord

I found the perfect bridge and the perfect two friends to play Pooh Sticks with. What are Pooh Sticks? Read more here
I'm the one in the middle of this picture on the Old North Bridge in Concord, MA. I played Pooh sticks with my friends Patty and Virginia. I picked the best sticks because I won three times in a row. I can't believe I lived in Lexington for almost six years and never made it to Concord to visit the historical site in the battles of Lexington and Concord, the start of the revolutionary war. It is a beautiful site and so much history to take in.

New England at its Finest
I'm back!!
I went to visit my friend Patty in Lexington, MA and the great part was I made it during the peak Fall season.

Look at the beautiful blanket of leaves on the ground! I was with two friends on our way to Concord and we passed by this cemetery and we just had to stop. The trees were so beautiful they looked like God plugged them in and flipped the switch. It was the perfect experience.

Quality Time
I am going to be visiting one of my best girlfriends Patty in Jamestown RI this week. It's been over a year since I've seen her so I am WAY excited. These pictures are from her backyard (totally amazing). I love this place because it's so beautiful, peaceful and it's quality time spent with Patty. She is totally amazing and one of my dearest friends forever.
Here is a picture of Ryan and I about five years ago. Looking at this picture makes me smile because we spent the day catching hermit crabs and walking on the beach together. We were both very pooped out from our day.

Pink Kitty, Tired Kitty, Sweet Kitty
Otto is my tired kitty from roaming outside all night long. First thing in the morning he comes in, drinks some water, grabs a bite to eat and naps all day. He once was an indoor cat only but we could tell he longed to be outside. We got him neutered and out he went and he's never been happier.
Maddie is my sweetie pie! I am head over heels in love with this kitty.

Sushi Matchbook Covers

Who doesn't love Sushi? Especially when it's vintage matchbook covers! I cut reclaimed wood from the trash pile then sand it so the surface and corners are be nice and smooth. I think the fun starts when I pick the colors to paint the blocks (my favorite part). The art on the blocks is made from matchbook covers a friend gave me from a garage sale... what a fun find.

Little Lump of Love
I made red velvet cuppies today and they turned out yummy good. Ryan was eating the batter and it stained his fingers and teeth red.
New Cards
I have new cards in my Etsy shop. They are on great Strathmore 80 lb. text paper with a deckle edge. I think it is the deckle edge that sets them over the top for me. These are a fun little something to send to a friend.

Errand Day
Eleni and I have been having a great time lately. She's been in New York so we're making up for lost time. Have you ever had a friend that could make you laugh even when you're sad? That's my Eleni...I'm blessed to have such a friend. We were about to spend our day running around Houston getting a huge list of errands done. One that took us near The Chocolate Bar. Errands are fun when they involve chocolate!!
Me and Eleni getting ready to run errands. I secretly want her green jacket.
Eleni knows how to make a great salad. Oops, I didn't get the best picture because she added chicken strips (picture the goodness in your head).
