Bubble Gum Yum in Felt

Felt and buttons make a great combination! I thought it would be fun to turn my Bubble Gum Yum paper art into a felt piece. It took me awhile but I finally got it finished. It was fun to work on it while watching the Olympics. However, I didn't get much done while I was watching Michael Phelps swim for all his gold medals.
In the excitement I lost a needle in my sofa (but found it) and tangled up my brown floss into a mess. It was great to use some of the buttons that had been setting in my drawer for years. I love the colors and my little pink gumball machine just makes me smile.

Happy Anniversary To Me!!
Today I am celebrating fifteen years of marriage. We were talking today about how we can't believe it's been fifteen years. Time has gone by so fast and I am as smitten with him now as I was when we were dating. Ladies always tell me that I am a lucky girl and I totally know I am. I don't take him for granted because I know he is a one in a million. Love you sweetie!
I woke up with these on my table. Pretty, pretty, pretty!

this is mine (bad picture!)
I had some left over felt from a previous project so I thought I might make something. This flower is a little pin I plan to wear in the Fall. I ran across some great little flowers on Flickr and thought it would be a good use of my scraps.

Ryan's Milkweed
My seven year old wanted to have a milkweed plant in our flower garden so he could have Monarch butterflies.
At the beginning of Summer I took him to the nursery and he picked out the milkweed plant he wanted and we got it. He was excited to see his milkweed grow and flower over the Summer. Just a few days ago I was working in the garden and on his plant I counted five caterpillars! More than half of the leaves were gone with caterpillars still on the plant (they were fat little suckers)! By the next day all the leaves were gone and the caterpillars were gone. I searched all around but I could only find one in the tree next to the plant.
I had some really great pictures of the caterpillars on the plant but accidentally deleted them...aarrrgggg! This is the only pic I could recover of the caterpillar in our tree (it's hard to see).

I was gettin' crafty with my Martha Stewart stars I made. It was happy because I was able to use a a bunch of left over scrap paper. I just love the way these came out. At Christmas time I made some to go on top of gifts (kinda like bows). They were a big hit because my family and friends could use them as ornaments also...gotta love that.

I was in a productive mood after getting home this past weekend. I spent Fri, Sat and Sunday with girlfriends at a Bed and Breakfast in Round Top Texas. We worked on scrapbooking and talking the entire weekend. I hadn't scrapbooked any of my families photos in about three years so I was playing catch up. I had some great pictures of the weekend but I accidentally deleted them from my camera. These are the only ones I could recover...I was very upset to say the least.
It was a fun time with eight great ladies! (Mary, Shalle, Angela, Dawn, Jeanelle, Kristine, Kara and Lisa)
