I went to the Bayou City Arts Festival here in Houston and look who I ran into...Mark Traughber! I was excited because I think his art is very unique. What a nice guy! He even let me take a picture of him next to his work. All you Etsy folks might recognize him as Bloodle.

I got this in the mail not too long ago from my artist friend. Her name is Patty and if you could meet her you would LOVE her. She is an amazing lady and artist to boot! I am just getting around to putting it up so others can see also. I can't wait to frame and hang it in my home.

Peacocks In Houston

Here in Houston we have peacocks that live in some neighborhoods and just roam the streets. Yeah, not your average bird to see roaming around. My girlfriend and I decided to check them out one day while we were in the area. The picture above I took from the passenger side of the car. You can get so close to them but it still freaked me out because my luck it would fly up on my face and have at it. The rumor is that a wealthy homeowner had these as pets in the area and let them go. No one really knows, (I am sure someone does) but I can't find any information about them. However, they walk about freely. My friend and I stopped and stared for about 45 minutes because who the heck can believe peacocks are running through Houston wild? They were in the street, in yards, on top of homes, and sitting on fences. You name a spot I’ll bet a peacock was there. They were beautiful and very loud and made me happy I didn't live on that street.

Vespa Wind Cut Paper Collage Original

I got to spend a lot of time working this weekend which made me super happy. I added Vespa Wind to my Etsy shop today and finished working on Whisper.

My love for pink Vespas keeps emerging.


"Whisper"

I think I tell my boys to whisper at least 10 times a day! My classic is "use your inside voice". However I have noticed that my kids inside voice is really loud! What do I say other than inside voice...?

Love & Art

I added these LOVE & ART original matchbook cover art pieces to my Etsy shop today. They were fun to work on because I got to do some painting...nothing technical but it was fun to have my hands in paint for a change instead of paper. Gotta love all the variety.
